GRAVENHURST MAN CHARGED WITH KNIFE ATTACK AND DEATH THREAT
GRAVENHURST — A dispute that led to knife attack and death threat yesterday afternoon has a Gravenhurst man facing eight charges.
Police say that on Wednesday Dec. 23, at 1:35 p.m., officers were dispatched to a home in Gravenhurst regarding an assault with a weapon.
They say a dispute occurred that escalated and the suspect brandished a knife.
Police arrived quickly and arrested and charged 30-year-old Stephen Schell with the following:
- Assault with a Weapon
- Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
- Uttering Threats – Cause death or Bodily Harm
- Uttering Threats – Damage Property
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance
- Failure to Comply with release order x 3
Schell was in bail court this morning at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge.
