SALLY ANN WANTS YOU … TO ‘POP YOUR TRUNK’ NOV. 4

GRAVENHURST — Thanksgiving may be over — and shelves may be pretty well stocked with many items — but if you’re providing food for the hungry there’s never enough of everything in the old pantry to go around.

So the Salvation Army is stocking up for winter just like you — this Wednesday Nov. 4 at 7 p.m.

And that means taking in provisions off the street due to COVID.

With the annual Gravenhust Rotary door-to-door collection cancelled due to the coronavirus, Sally Ann is appealing directly to drivers and homeowners.

Call it a drive-by, drop-off.

They want you to ‘Pop Your Trunk.’

It’s as easy as 1-2-3:

Pull up. … Pop your trunk. … And unload your groceries.

So, expect a traffic jam on the main drag at Muskoka Road and Winewood Avenue.

And being the day after the American election, a few party items may be in order to celebrate.

Help Sally Ann stock up for the winter in a drive-by, drop-off Wednesday night at 7 p.m. on the north end of the main street of Gravenhurst.
