MUSKOKA — COVID-19’s spread that now includes Donald Trump and his wife (but not Joe Biden) has jumped in Simcoe-Muskoka with 19 cases Friday.
One of those is a female, aged 18-34, from Muskoka Lakes who had close contact.
The health unit also notes that one case previously reported as Gravenhurst was re-assigned to Bracebridge upon closer examination of the case address data Sept. 30.
This as U.S. President Donald Trump and his wife Melania have tested positive for the coronavirus, reports say today, Oct. 2.
His presidential opponent Joe Biden has tested negative, but tweeted this morning that he is praying for the president and wishes him a “speedy recovery.”
Among the 16 in Simcoe, two are under age 17, a female from Barrie and a male from Bradford West-Gwillimbury.
Sixteen are under investigation.
The 19 Oct. 2 include:
6 Bradford-West Gwillimbury
5 Barrie
2 Innisfil
2 New Tecumseth
2 Clearview
1 each in Muskoka Lakes and Springwater
