CANADA UNITED: SHOP LOCAL, SAVE LOCAL THIS WEEKEND

Mark Clairmont | MuskokaTODAY.com

MUSKOKA — “Show some local love for your local businesses.”

The shops and restaurants that were there for you before the pandemic and that will be there for you in the months ahead and after COVID-19.

That’s the message and theme this weekend from Muskoka chambers of commerce promoting the Canada United business promotion Aug. 28-30.

‘Shop Local, Dine Local, Save Local.’

Sandy Lockhart, director of the Gravenhurst Chamber of Commerce, says businesses have suffered through the coronavirus and are looking forward to seeing you again in their stores and eating establishments.

Especially this weekend, when you can register your local purchases with Canada United the next three days to win prizes.

Log on to the Canada United — Shop Local Save Local website and like it on social media and sponsor RBC will donate 5 cents for each like toward a campaign to promote local shopping.

In Gravenhurst tomorrow, it’s the final week of a summer Thursdays sale promotion — another hyper local promotion to save and win prizes with local merchants.

See links to Lockhart’s messages below about the weekend campaign.

Gravenhurst Chamber of Commerce director Sandy Lockhart says it’s been a tough year for merchants. She encourages supporters to “Show some local love for local businesses.”
Aug. 27 is the eighth and final Thursday sale of the summer, a chance to shop and win prizes in Gravenhurst.
