HUNTSVILLE HELPING BUSINESSES FIND LOCAL PPE

HUNTSVILLE —  The town and its two business associations are co-ordinating the local supply of PPE for merchants.

If you are a local business in need of pandemic survival supplies, the town, the BIA and chamber of commerce will connnect you with someone else in town who has extra masks and gloves you can use.

But it is not a free giveaway for the businesss, the chamber’s Barb Bloomfield told MuskokaTODAY.com this afternoon.

They’re compiling a list of suppliers to help match people in need.

The Town of Huntsville said Friday it “wishes to express sincere thanks to the Huntsville business community for their daily dedication to providing safe operating measures and continued community support.”

In conjunction with the Huntsville/Lake of Bays Chamber of Commerce and the Huntsville BIA, the town will be accessing and providing PPE to assist the business community in keeping residents safe.

“We understand that Huntsville businesses have been faced with many challenges since the COVID-19 pandemic began” says Mayor Karin Terziano.

“We are eager to support Huntsville businesses by providing various PPE items so that they can begin to prepare to safely re-open their doors and keep our community safe.

“As a community we are in this together.”

The town and its community partners are reaching out to businesses and memberships to determine any immediate need for PPE supplies as businesses enter the COVID-19 recovery phase.

If you are a local business in need of PPE supplies, please reach out to the Huntsville/Lake of Bays Chamber of Commerce no later than 4 p.m. Thursday, June 4.

Merchants in Huntsville and area can connect with others in town who may have PPE they can use by contacting the chamber of commerce by next Thursday at 4 p.m. June 4.
