MULLIGAN’S GIVE-ER-A-GO SPIRIT REWARDED WITH RETREAT
BRACEBRIDGE — Pam Mulligan can use a get-away.
The give-er-a-go’s spirt made her the grand prize winner of Bracebridge’s “Let’s Get Started – Try Something New” activity event at the Bracebridge Sportsplex.
This week, Mayor Graydon Smith and Paul and Lea Kane, of Royal LePage, announced Mulligan had won a two-day Muskoka retreat.
“It was so much fun trying all of the new recreation activities at the Bracebridge Sportsplex, I had no idea they offered so many different, interesting programs,” she said. “Let’s Get Started, Try Something New” is the second time the town has teamed with the Kanes to offer an event that inspires people to be physically active.
The eight-week program from Jan. 6 to Feb. 28 encouraged participants to try new activities. For each new activity tried, the participant received a ballot for a chance to win great prizes provided by the Kanes and Royal LePage.
Four prize packs were also given away during the two months.
Mulligan received a two-night, double occupancy, at Trillium Resort in Port Sydney, with breakfasts and dinners.
“I am so excited about this get-away at Trillium Resort, it will be a nice, relaxing break and I am very grateful to Paul and Lea Kane for their generosity with this amazing prize,” Mulligan responded in a town release.
Next year, the town’s rec department will present a new version of this physical activity challenge at the Bracebridge Sportsplex, with unique twists and exciting prizes to win. “We were really pleased with the amount of interest in the ‘Let’s Get Started, Try Something New’ program, said Paul Kane. “The amount of participants exceeded our goal and we’re looking forward to working with the Town of Bracebridge in January 2021.”
