HOSPITALS CEO WORKING FROM HOME AFTER SURGERY

MUSKOKA — Natalie Bubela, head of the local hospitals, has been working at home this week helping them handle the COVID-19 crisis.

As the coronavirus is expected to escalate in the coming weeks and breach the borders of Muskoka, the CEO of the Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare is recovering from surgery.
She is not self-isolating, a hospital spokesperson told MuskokaTODAY.com Tuesday.
“Natalie had a pre-scheduled medical absence (she had surgery) and has not left Ontario,” said Allyson Snelling, MAHC’s corporate communications officer.
“She has been participating by phone this week and intends to physically return to work on Monday.”
Terry Shields, the chief financial officer has been acting CEO in her absence, as the hospitals prepare for pandemic’s arrival wih hundreds of Muskoka snowbirds are flying home now.
