$4,100 SHOPLIFTING SPREE LEADS TO PAIR BEING CHARGED
HUNTSVILLE — Two people in bail court this morning are charged with a shoplifting spree yesterday.
Provincial police at Huntsville say that on March 12, just after 1 p.m. officers observed two people walking away from a business on King William Streeet in Huntsville carrying a heavy black bag.
Police say the pair got in a vehicle that was eventually stopped by he OPP on Capstone Lane in the town of Huntsville.
Their investigation determined the two had taken items from various businesses in town. This led to the recovery of approximately $4,100 worth of stolen property.
Adrian Kwiek, 28, of Poland, and Justyna Kwiek, 24, of Brampton, face the following charges under the Criminal Code of Canada:
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime X5
Possession of Break-in tools
Theft under $5000
The two were held into custody in Huntsville and were taken to the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge for a Bail Hearing Friday March 13, 2020, to answer the charges.
