RURAL MAILBOXES IN HUNTSVILLE BROKEN INTO

HUNTSVILLE Rural mail boxes in two separate locations were reportedly broken into here over the weekend.

Provincial police say that on Monday September 23, officers were notified by Canada Post that a rural mailbox was broken into.

They say that sometime over the weekend, unknown culprit’s pried open six out of nine compartments of a rural mailbox on Muskoka Rd #3 N.

The culprits removed many items that were inside the compartments.

Then on Tuesday September 24, police were again notified by Canada Post that another rural mailbox was broken into on Lindgren Rd. W., also Huntsville.

It is unknown if any mail was removed from these compartments.

Huntsville OPP is seeking assistance in solving these incidents. Anyone with any information is asked to contact Huntsville OPP or Crime Stoppers.

This investigation is continuing and Police are asking anyone with information to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
