GRAVENHURST FIRE SURVEY: HOW ARE THEY DOING?

GRAVENHURST — After a busy night fighting another summer structure fire on North Muldrew Lake Road Tuesday, the Gravenhurst Fire Department wants you to let them know how they’re doing.

A busy summer, several new recruits and new equipment have kept fire officials busy. Now they want to know what your firefighting prioritites should be for them.

As part of its ongoing commitment to community safety and continuous improvement, the department is reaching out to the community with a survey that aims to gauge the feelings of the community in regards to a wide range of fire related issues.

“From operational response to emergency planning to fire prevention and community engagement initiatives, our firefighters need your help to make sure we’re delivering on our mission to serve,” said Chief Larry Brassard.

“The survey is being offered Online, electronically, so everyone can complete it in the comfort of their home,” said the Chief.  For those who don’t have access at home, Brassard notes that the Gravenhurst Public Library is a great place to visit to use a computer and access the internet!

“The survey is a simple, easy to complete questionnaire with a mix of tick boxes and several opportunities to provide comments. In all, it should take about 5 minutes to complete.”  For those who prefer the traditional pen and paper, copies of the survey will be available at Fire Station #1 on Harvie Street, in the Library or at the main customer service desk at Town Hall, 3-5 Pineridge Gate.

Chief Brassard invites everyone to complete the survey by going Online to the Towns website atwww.gravenhurst.ca/haveyoursay . The survey will be open to the public until August 31.
