TOBINS ISLAND PLANE CRASH SUNDAY IN ROSSEAU

LAKE ROSSEAU An aircraft crash on Tobins Island luckily resulted in minor injuries Sunday.

On June 23, at 3:20 p.m. provincial police at Bracebridge received several reports regarding a pontoon-style aircraft that had crashed into trees on Tobin Island on Lake Rosseau in Muskoka Lakes Township.

Police and EMS attended and met with the two occupants of the plane and it was determined that the plane suffered a mechanical malfunction forcing the pilot to make an emergency landing.

Fortunately the occupants escaped with only minor injuries, say police.
