16-YEAR-OLD CHARGED IN SOCIAL MEDIA THREAT TO HIGH SCHOOL

HUNTSVILLE — Police are saying little about a social meda threat made to “a local high school,” after arresting a 16-year-old from London, Ontario.

The teen has been arrested and charged, Police say there is no threat to public safety.

Provincial Police here, along with Muskoka Crime Unit and the OPP Covert Internet Investigative Services, investigated threats against the school, believed to be Huntsville High, in which the suspect used a social media platform.

Police said Tuesday night that the teen was charged and at no time was there a threat to public safety.
