Passenger cut out of vehicle entangled in downed hydro wires

GRAVENHURST — Traffic on Hwy. 11 was rerouted Wednesday after serious collision landed a vehicle passenger in the ditch entangled in downed power lines.

Traffic was rerouted off Hwy. 11 after a vehicle went off the road and became entangled in hydro wires Wednesday afternoon.

Provincial say that at 3 p.m. December 19 a northbound vehicle left the highway, rolled and became entangled with a hydro pole.

Emergency crews responded including Gravenhurst Fire and Muskoka EMS and worked to extricate one passenger.

The driver of the vehicle suffered minor injuries.

The highway was closed while crews worked to clear the power lines.
