Mom jumps curb, lands in Huntsville hospital with child

HUNTSVILLE — A mom and her child were taken to hospital as a precaution after a parking mishap saw a car run into a business.

A red SUV jumped the curb with a mom and child inside early Friday. No injuries were reported.

Just after 9:30 a.m. Friday, police got a call to a report of a single motor vehicle collision at 51 King William St.

The female driver who was parking her small red SUV when it jumped the parking lot curb and struck the wall of the Shoppers Drug Mart.

The 29 year-old woman and her child were taken by EMS to the Huntsville hospital for precautionary reasons with no apparent injuries.

Police say no charges were laid in relation to the collision; however the driver has been charged with an offence under of the Highway Traffic Act is unrelated to this collision.
