Elderberries Choir brings Peace to Earth Dec. 15 & 16

GRAVENHURST — Peace on Earth.

Now that’s something we could really use this year.

And it’s the theme of this year’s Elderberries Choir Christmas concerts.

The local choral group with lofty goals for the world and ambitious plans for it annual celebration of holiday cheer is spreading its love around town the weekend of Dec. 15 and 16.

On Saturday evening they will open at Trinity United Church, at 7 p.m.

Sunday afternoon it’s an encore at St. James Anglican Church, at 2 p.m.

Both are free-will offerings.

Director Louise Jardine and accompanist Carolyn Grant have lined up A Presentation of Season Songs you’ll enjoy.

The 40-member male and female choir have been delighting audiences with their high quality performances for several decades now, and always present entertaining evenings and afternoons of songs and hymns that are enjoyable and pleasant to the ear.

With the way global affairs have been going, maybe this will help divert your mind and attention toward something more positive and meaningful.

And make us all realize and experience the reason for the season.
