Italian couple, aged 40, identified as victims of deadly Algonquin Park crash
HUNTSVILLE — The woman and man who died Sunday afternoon in a head-on crash with a tour bus at the entrance to Algonquin Park were both 40-year-olds from Italy.

Provincial police said their car crossed the centre line, hitting the bus in front.
The bus driver who suffered minor injuries was identified as a 52-year-old male from Clarence Crescent, Ont.
And the driver of the second car, who suffered minor injuries, is a 36-year-old female from Oakville, and her passenger who, was transported via ORNGE to a Toronto area hospital suffered non-life-threatening injuries, is a 34-year-old male from Mississauga.
Police say that on Sunday Aug. 19, at 4 p.m. Huntsville and Killaloe Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with Algonquin Highlands Fire, Lake of Bays Fire and Muskoka EMS attended a motor vehicle collision on Hwy. 60 at the West Gate entrance to Algonquin Park.
The collision involved a tour bus along with two other vehicles. The tour bus did not have any passengers on it at the time of the collision.
They said a blue car crossed the centre line, hitting the bus and a second black car became involved.
Hwy. 60 was closed for several hours while Central Region Traffic Collision Investigators assisted the detachment members with the investigation.
The cleanup of the highway took extra time to ensure all liquids and debris was removed from the road.
Police also thanks park staff and drivers who stopped for trying to help the victims.
