PETERBOROUGH — Provincial police have charged a Peterborough man after a computer and credit cards were reported stolen.
OPP from the County detachment say a Selwyn Township business complained that a laptop computer and credit card were stolen on July 13, 2018.
Selwyn Township is northwest of Peterborough.
On July 26, 2018, investigating officers attended a pawn shop in Peterborough, in attempts to locate the stolen laptop computer. While in the pawn shop, officers observed a male and identified him as one of the suspects in the theft.
Thomas Edward, 23, was arrested and charged with:
Fraud under $5000 – 8 counts
Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000
He is scheduled to appear in Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on Aug. 30.
