Gravenhurst man blows over in RIDE stop

GRAVENHURST — A Gravenhurst man will be in court next month to answer impaired driving charges.

Provincial police say that on Saturday July 21, 2018, at 4:45 p.m. officers were conducting a RIDE check on John Street at Ridge Road in Gravenhurst.

A chat with the driver of a vehicle gave rise to the suspicion that he was under the influence of alcohol.

As a result of their investigation, police arrested and charged 44 year-old Adam Harris with Having Over 80 mg of Alcohol per 100 mL Blood CC 253(1)(b). The accused received an immediate 90 day driver’s licence suspension and further had his vehicle towed and impounded.

Harris is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on Aug. 14, 2018 to answer to his charge.
