You revved up for CAR-azy Car Show Sat. June 16?
GRAVENHURST — There’s a ton of stuff to do all-day Saturday June 16 at the popular tree-lined Gravenhurst Chamber of Commerce Car Show at Gull Lake Rotary Park.

The 25th annual event is going to be a CAR-azy day. So get revved up and in gear.
For the early birders arriving at 5:30 a.m. to get the prime locations under the big pines, the Coffee Station across Bethune Drive and the train tracks has a special breakfast deal.
(But if you register in advance, there’s a draw for $500 in tires provided by Wayne’s Tire Discounter.)
If you’re a little late, registration begins at 6:30 a.m. for all the prize categories.
The gates to pit row open at 9 a.m. when antique and classic car and truck fans can come in and wander around through the park and around the ball diamond and “Ooh!” and “Ahh!” at the “Cool! hot-rods and crème-de-la-crème of the chrome world.
When fins were in and knobs were on the steering wheel – as well as the geek in the back seat.
At 1 p.m. there will be a float plane fly-over where you can wave to the pilot and photographer.
The trophy presentations are at 2 p.m. for best-in-categories and best-in-show and more.
There are several vendors on site, to offer food (Lion’s Club; Pierre’s BBQ; the Wheely Good Coffee Cart; the Heaven’s Delight Ice Cream Truck); and for auto lovers (Highspeed Canada; Custom Car Posters) and more (Surf Skate Fly).
The show’s lead sponsor is Canadian Tire and Cavalcade Ford Lincoln is the shuttle service sponsor.
