Car, truck collide in Port Carling Thursday

PORT CARLING — The driver of a car in a collision with a transport is lucky to only have two reportedly broken legs Thursday afternoon.

Provincial police, along with Muskoka Paramedic Services and Muskoka Lakes Fire responded to a two vehicle collision that occurred on Muskoka Road 118 in Muskoka Lakes Township on Thursday, June 7, just before p.m. in the area of Henshaw Lake Road, near Peninsula Road.

The driver of one involved vehicles was extricated from his car and transported to a local hospital and then airlifted to a Toronto area hospital with serious but non-life threatening condition.

The OPP Technical Collision Investigators are on scene for further investigation into the cause of the collision. Muskoka Road 118 will be closed for several hours to facilitate the investigation.
