Pita Pit raises $2,600 for One Kids Place

HUNTSVILLE — One Kids Place provides community-based rehabilitation, specialized clinic services and related support services for children and youth in Muskoka, Nipissing and Parry Sound.

Their office is located next to the hospital in Huntsville.

They also service clients in their homes.

Family client services include help for those on the autism spectrum or who have speech development challenges.

One Kids Place is an important resource and key health service for the regions’s young population.

And, like many public health services it is funding-challenged and like hospital foundations has to resort to fundraising.

So, Andrew Bridle and Pita Pit, in partnership with One Kids Place Children’s Treatment Centre, organized a Pinwheel Pin-Up Fundraising Campaign in April to support local children and youth with special needs and their families.

The Pinwheel Campaign saw Pita Pit locations in Huntsville and Bracebridge engage with their communities by collecting donations, displaying hundreds of pinwheels in each store and giving back through a coupon to their customers who participated.

“I am pleased to announce that our communities showed their support by donating over $2,600 to One Kids Place Children’s Treatment Centre,” says Bridle, “I am very honoured to have been part of this initiative and we look forward to hosting it again.”
