Female motorcyclist, 48, dies in crash with vehicle
CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES — A 48-year-old female motorcyclist is dead after colliding with a vehicle Thursday afternoon.

Provincial police say that about 4:45 p.m. on May 25th, members of the City of Kawartha Lakes detachment of the OPP responded to a two-vehicle collision involving a motorcycle, on Kawartha Lakes Road 36 near Pleasant Point Road.
The driver of the motor vehicle, a 65-year=old male from Lindsay, was transported by ambulance to a local hospital with minor injuries.
The driver of the motorcycle, from Cavan Township, was pronounced deceased on scene.
The road was closed for several hours as the OPP’s Technical Collision Investigation (TCI) unit attended the scene to assist with the investigation, which is on-going.
