Drug bust sees Ramara, Gravenhurt men charged
GRAVENHURST — A Gravenhurst man and a Ramara man face numerous charges
Provincial police say that on Thursday May 24, 2018, members of the Bracebridge Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) “made a dent in the local drug trade,” when they arrested and charged two men who were in possession of several thousand dollars’ worth of illegal drugs.
As a result of their investigation, police have charged 31 year-old Paul Farris, of Ramara Township, with the following offenses:
Possession of Schedule I (cocaine) for the Purposes of Trafficking CDSA5(2)
Possession of Schedule II (Marijuana) for the Purpose of Trafficking CDSA5(2)
Possession of Schedule II (Marijuana Concentrate) for the Purpose of Trafficking CDSA5(2)
Possession of a Prohibited Device or Ammunition CC92(2)
Police have also charged 42-year-old Timothy Belanger, of Gravenhurst with Possession of a Schedule I substance (opioid) CDSA4(1).
Both accused parties will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on July 3, 2018 to answer to their charges.
