Local election candidate info night April 5
GRAVENHURST — Muskokans interested running for municipal election this fall may be interested in a candidates info night next month.

The Town of Gravenhurst’s legislative department is encouraging all citizens who may be interested in becoming a candidate in the October 22 election to take part in an Election Candidate and Third Party Advertiser ‘Information Night’ hosted by the Ministry of Municipal Affairs on Thursday April 5, at 6:30 p.m. at the District of Muskoka office.
They say in a release that the information session will cover a wide spectrum of topics including, third party advertisers, roles and responsibilities of elected officials, eligibility rules, nomination process, campaign finances, the voters’ list and much more.
“It’s everything you need to know about becoming a candidate for mayor or councillor for the upcoming Municipal Election in Gravenhurst,” said Kayla Thibeault, director of legislative services and town clerk. “This is your opportunity to make a difference in your community, get involved and become active in local government.”
The information session is at the District of Muskoka Office, 70 Pine Street Bracebridge.
